Surculus Floor Lamp

Meaning: “The shoot, branch, sprout”

The Surculus Floor Lamp is the latest evolution in the Surculus collection—a sculptural lighting piece that brings the natural world into interior spaces with quiet strength and elegance. Inspired by tree trunks, branching forms, and the delicate unfurling of new leaves, the artist captures the enduring, regenerative force of nature in abstract bronze. The gently rising stem culminates in a subtly textured finial, evoking a leaf poised to open and reveal its full form.

Echoing the flowing ridges of the bronze base, the hand-folded paper shade is crafted from Japanese Hosho paper, filtering the light with a softness reminiscent of petals or newly emerged foliage.

The body of the Surculus lamp is created as a bronze sculpture using the lost-wax method. Each piece is individually cast, hand-polished, and patinated—making every lamp a unique expression of the artist’s vision. The Surculus Floor Lamp is available in three sizes, offering flexibility for a range of architectural and interior settings.

The lamp is fitted with standard wiring and operated via a discreet foot switch for ease of use.
